An alternative to this is measuring your ring size at home by doing the below:

Cut a very thin strip of paper or string.
Wrap the paper/string around your finger, ensuring that the paper is below the joint of your finger, and closest to your knuckle.
Make sure the paper is tight around your finger to ensure an accurate measurement.
Mark the spot where the paper meets, then measure the distance with your ruler. This will give you the circumference.

The Metal

Silver is a lunar metal. Across cultures and centuries it has been linked to the moon — to reflection, cycles and the feminine. Where gold is solar and outward, silver is receptive. It draws inward.
Silver is also the most conductive metal there is. In energy practice it's understood as an amplifier: it doesn't impose its own frequency so much as carry and clarify whatever it's paired with. Cleanse under moonlight, not saltwater — salt is abrasive on sterling silver over time
Polish the silver beads gently with a soft cloth
